Wow - rough day. I won't make it either - but my excuse sounds so mundane in comparison I'm just going skip it. Hi everyone, I can't make the meeting...again. I tore my ACL in my knee Tuesday and can barely move around, just got back from a funeral for my wife's grandma, my mom went to the emergency...

I just bottled an IPA last night and the fisnishing spec grav was 20. That is a significant drop fromt he 90 it started out as, but I am wondering if all of that residual sugar is going to make it sweet. Sweet would not be at all what I was looking for.
Is 20 to high for a finishing spec grav?

A friend of mine used to homebrew and hasn't done it for a couple of years, so he gave me a bunch of stuff including the carboys and a wort chiller. This last batch was the first time I used a wort chiller as well, and wow is it bett...

Through the looking glass
I know there are differing opinions on glass carboys, seems some like them and some think they aren't worth the trouble. I just put a batch in one for the first time this weekend and it is churning away. I think it is very cool to see - and helps, ever so slightly, with the long wait till it's done!...
