Great Meeting

Awesome meeting, everyone. It was really nice to come back, and I was surprised that my name was still on the roster, and my nametag still in the box!

The Brown's not ready yet, but I have high hopes. About the grains, someone told me not to squeeze, or I read it somewhere, or something. So now it's mostly superstition.

I'll brew about 5 gallons for the Beer-B-Q. It'll just be in growlers and such.

Holy Smokes. 40 lashes for me! I actually believed that Fat Tire was a Belgian. That was quote a blow to my beer ego. Jeez. I'll keep my mouth shut about styles at the next meeting for penance. Ok. So I'm making an Amber. I did use Victory Malt though, so that counts for something, right? Speaking o...

Phat Tyre

So a brew buddy and I brewed this weekend out in the cold. It was very fun to scratch the brewing itch again, and we even used the snowbank as a chiller. I made a Phat Tyre clone, which is bubblin' nicely, but Northern Brewer said that US-05 was fine, instead of that super special yeast that I belie...

Under Iowa Family Living, there looks to be something to do with beer, but you don't get to pick which category your entering. Just a number. Is that right? And it's also called Beer Classes. Seems weird. I guess the category is chosen when they send the forms.

I can find it in an earlier page, but when I log in to actually enter, it's not an option.
