I don't know if anyone would be interested, but I have a large collection, maybe 50-70 Brew Your Own and Zymurgy magazines from ~2014-2017.
Free for anyone that wants to come get them. Otherwise, they will be recycled.
Thanks!

question about distilling
I have been brewing for 10 years. I have a 20 gallon electric system. Doc said carbs have to go. Which sucks as I used to produce about 150g a year. But I do like whiskey and gin and other things. So hopefully this isn't to far off topic but I am curious if anyone here does some distilling or knows ...

Re: Coriander and Orange peel advice?
Thanks for the advice. I have never added coriander and orange peel post boil. Do my amounts look ok? I have blown out my IPA buds for a while, so I was hoping for a traditional hefe. I also have Saaz on hand which I really like.

Coriander and Orange peel advice?
So,on Sept 5th, I brewed a German Hefe with the rushed intent of serving at a party on Sept 24th. Big starter with 3068 Weistephaner (sp?). Fermented like mad. Was basic recipe 40% white wheat and 60% german pils. Tett for bitter hops, no aroma hops. Lots of O2 and yeast nutrient. Fermented half of ...

Re: HELP!! Anyone have a bag of pilsner malt?
So, thanks to Andrew for helping me with malt. The yeast was going good by the 24 hour mark and the sunday brew session is fermenting something fierce at 52F. I do starters at room temp as well. OG of starters were 1045 or so. All of that is the good news. Bad news was: the amount of protein was ins...

Re: HELP!! Anyone have a bag of pilsner malt?
Most beers I do with wlp001. I've done each, half vial in each, one in each, and 2 in each. I can say from experience that it has increased the amount of slurry in proportion. Since lagers require much more of a cell count, I went with 2 in each. I know lager yeast isn't as aggressive as wlp001 but ...

Re: HELP!! Anyone have a bag of pilsner malt?
So, brewing tomorrow maybe starting around 11. 20 gallon czech pils on an electric brew boss single vessel faux brew in a bag (mesh basket) system. Come by if you are curious. Quick question: I do 2 separate 2000ml starters for 20 gallons. I pitch 2 vials into each starter. Been about 2 years since ...

HELP!! Anyone have a bag of pilsner malt?
Hey all, I was planning on brewing saturday or sunday. Have the yeast started, the hops ready, stopped by BIY to pick up the 50# bag of plisner malt I had talked to Joe about and they are CLOSED till tuesday. I wondered if anyone has a 50# sack of pilsner or if I can get suggestions of where to buy ...

fermenting 10 gallon batches
This might be a dumb thing to ask but I do 10 gallon batches and I chill, then whirlpool, then drain to 5 gallon buckets and pour them back and forth to mix. I am worried that both buckets would not be identical due to stratification of the wort if I filled one and then the other. I have also used a...

This is my keezer. Can hold 7 kegs and I can lean inside to clean. The collar is what makes it to deep to clean out. On Nov 15, 2013 1:42 PM, "Bones" <brew-equipment@crbeernuts.org ( brew-equipment@crbeernuts.org )> wrote: JimPotts wrote: The chest freezer is more efficient than an uprig...

This is really to bad. I looked on their website to see if they were addressing it at all and there is nothing there. Further poking around the internet it looks like the breach was for over a month... June 13th-July 19th. They are NOT offering anyone credit monitoring but instead giving out a $25 g...
