I do BIAB that way, but I currently only do 2.5 gallon batches. I have a 7.5 gallon pot that I mash in, and a 3 gallon pot that I use for a mashout/sparge step. Consistently getting 83% mash efficiency, so it's working well for me.

Curious if anyone that uses the Cedar Rapids water does anything to treat it before brewing, or do you use bottled water? I haven't gotten a water report from the city yet, but know they add a fair amount of chlorine. Looking for ways to make better beer, and water seems like a great place to start....
