Keep BIY in mind this holiday season! (+ New stuff!)

Howdy everyone! Hope everyone is geared up for some great fermenting weather--I know I am! Nikki and I wanted to take a moment to thank you all for your continued support over the last year (it's been a rough one) and to make sure you let your friends and family know that BIY is here, local, and rea...

It's a great one--so if you're making any ciders this season, be sure to swing by and pick one up! We'll also be getting a Wyeast order in to arrive next week and plan to get some of their cider ye...

Re: New beer line from MoreBeer

Let me know soon on the second roll--will very likely be placing the order tomorrow so it's jump time. The plan is to get the 100' roll to Kent for distribution/payment. Craig--you want to take charge of roll #2? Let me know!

Re: New beer line from MoreBeer

Hey everyone--just had a talk with Kent and was able to look a bit more into pricing. In bulk rolls (100 ft per foll) I will match MoreBeer's price! Let me know how much you need, what type you need (Ultrabarrier Silver or just Ultrabarrier) and in what ID and we'll make it happen. Once I hear back ...

Re: 2014 Grain Buy - Edited

Grain is in house, counted, and stacked for individual pickup! Sorry this has been a bit more drawn out than anticipated--but moving forward should go MUCH smoother!

Cheers everyone! See you soon!

Re: Wyeast in the Works!

Thanks for the great input guys-----if anyone else has preferences or needs, let us know soon! Also--if you know any brewers that aren't part of the club who enjoy Wyeast, have them shoot us an email too. The better idea I have of what strains are the best will only benefit the selection right from ...

Wyeast in the Works!

Hello Friends! We've reached a point at BIY where we feel that expanding our yeast selection is needed, and we're looking now at regularly stocking Wyeast! We have in the past went through one of our distributors to get Wyeast in when needed, but have had fulfillment issues, so that was never very s...

Joes Haunted House 2013

So, last I talked with some of you guys, I mentioned Nikki and I weren't going to be doing the haunt this year...

Yeah right--it'll be tonight at our house in Clarence. Good candy, kid friendly (but spooky) haunted mausoleum, and a few beers on tap.

PM me for the address if you can make it!

Car Dolly/Trailer

Hey all, Just wondering if any Beer Nuts out there have a car dolly (like the ones UHaul has) or a trailer that I might be able to rent/borrow. Would like to use later this week or this weekend if possible. Should only need it for about 24 hours (pickup in evening, return next day morning). Shoot me...

Kronenbourg 1664

Howdy All, I have a bit of a wild question for you all--especially as I am fairly new to international lagers and 1 personal batch in to actual lager production. I've been researching Kronenbourg 1664 recipes and have come up fairly underwhelmed. It doesn't seem that many homebrewers in the US have ...

I did a parti-gyle on a large botched grain bill from here at BIY, and the results were fantastic. Wound up making an imperial stout out of the first runnings (to be tasted--brewed in January--check my youtube for the vid on it) and did an immediate second runnings on the same grain bed. Turned out ...
