February Meeting

Post by Mr T »

From my understanding it was Brian’s. I haven’t been able to update the website since JP moved it due to unforeseen circumstances.

What is the deal with this, is the meeting at BA's house? Do we have a location for the next meeting, we have exactly one week to get the location figured out.

Looks like I have been nominated to host club meeting next week (Feb 17th)

Meeting time 7PM

Address
320 Phaeton Dr
Robins, IA

Style: whatever you want it to be. I don't think we have a policy.

Unfortunately, I have no beer on tap...ran out during the holidays.

What BA doesn't have beer! Great the first horseman of the Apocolypse rides. Might as well go on a raging crime spree now. The world is done so it does not matter!

Dave and I decided since there are several new people in the brew club that have not brewed or are interested in seeing other people brew, we would brew during brew club this month. We invite anyone and everyone from the brew club to come over watch the brewing process. Dave and I brew all-grain batches but we also thought it would be nice to have someone else brew a partial mash or extract batch. So Randy stepped up to join us. Dave and I will be brewing two batches back to back, a Double IPA and Belgian Wit. We will start he first batch about noon and the second batch about 4:30 or 5. People can arrive anytime but we would like people to sign-up if you plan to come over early (prior to 7PM). That way we have an idea of how much space we need and what to expect. I am not planning on preparing any food…due to being pre-occupied but we could pitch in and order pizza for those that don’t eat prior to the meeting. Please let me know if you have questions. We plan to have all 3 brews complete by 9PM. Also, if you have friends that might be interested in brewing, feel free to invite them as well.

Not knowing where else to sign up - I'll be there around 5.

My contact with the Independence Brew-B-Que called and asked if we were interested in participating again this year.

If I make the meeting at all it will be very late, so could someone bring this up, and gauge if there is any interest.

It's the weekend before the labor day weekend, August 27.

Just wanted to thank Mr. Anderson for host yet another wonderful meeting for the club.

Also great job to Brian, Dave, and Randy for brewing for the meeting. I think this was a long over due event for a meeting, for those that are newer to brewing or wanted to see a style of brewing that was different from the style they do.

Great job guys!

Another great meeting. Thank you Brian for hosting. It shows that the garage is a perfect place to host a meeting. For those of you who would like to host, but think our group has outgrown your house, consider using your garage in the future. Especially nice as the weather gets warmer as we can spill out on to the driveway.
