anyone have a spare temp controller?

Post by hoboscratch »

Mine is dying. I keep getting an E2 on my Ranco temp controller. Internet research says its memory related errors that can't be fixed. I'd like to have cold beer this weekend. Anyone have an extra temp controller I can borrow for a couple weeks until I can get another ordered? Kind of a long shot, but figured I'd try.

You can use my Johnson Digital Temp controller for about a week. I just need it back on Thursday, June 16th so I can brew again. I hate to hear about not having cold beer for the weekend.

I have one. It's not being used at all. I'm working from home until noon, you can come pick it up any time. I am camping tonight, and won't be home much after 12.

Thanks guys! I forgot to check before I walked out the door but I think I may have found a temp range that will work. What happens is if I set it at say 40F with a 3 degree +/-, it will throw an error. So if I change it to 39F with a 2F +/-, it might work. So I messed around until I found a range and variance that didn't throw an error. I will check it tonight when I get home from work and see if its still running. If so, it might last me until I can get a new one. If not, Matt, I might have to give you a ring to see if I can run and pick the controller up for the weekend. PM me your number? Thanks again for quick offers, that's awesome.

Mine is still running ok for now but a lot of settings are throwing errors. Looks like I'd better get an order for a new one asap
