hazelnut extract

Post by johnnyik »

So, I wanted to make something unusual for the Brew-B-Q this year and found Jamil's hazelnut chocolate porter intriguing. I have Hershey's cocoa powder and Watkins Chocolate extract but can't find Hazelnut extract anywhere. Anyone found this? I and heading to Hy-Vee off Edgewood this am to try them.

Another option, though pricey, is Frangelico (hazelnut liqueur).

Holy crap I went to that page and imediately I felt my man-parts start to shrivel! I had to run outside and chop some firewood and let out the largest belch I could muster. Whew! It's OK, I'm fine now....

But seriously, if you end up using that you'll need to call your beer Faerie's Finest Hazelnut Chocolate Porter. You'll have to fight the females off at Beer BQ as it will have an irresistible pull on them.
