Anybody up for this?

A bunch of us attempt to clone Surly Abrasive and maybe compare our results at the September meeting?

I'm planning on trying to either way, I think Aaron is going to as well.

Here are the details from Surly's website:

STYLE: Double Oat IPA
MALT: 2-Row, Golden Promise ,Oats,Lite Crystal
SUGAR:Brewers Crystals
HOPS: Warrior,Citra
YEAST: English Ale

OG: 19.5° Plato
ABV: 8.8% v/v
COLOR: 8 ºSRM
IBU: 120ish

Sounds fun, have to see if I can fit it in to my brew schedule. Who has Citra these days? I am out.

A bulk order of the golden promise and oats to save on shipping sounds good to me too. I got my citra a couple months back from chicompany.net. Not sure if they have any in stock or not

Do you have a clone recipe for this? I'd be willing to try it but the details listed aren't enough for me to go on. Or was your intent to have participants create their own?

I have 3 ounces of whole hop Citra that was given away at NHC if you want it.

I kinda wanted everyone to come up with their own.

My attempt is ready! I don't know if it tastes like Abrasive but it's a citra blast in yo face
