I don't know what I was thinking, but my wife has volleyball on Thursday nights, so I will be unable to host the June meeting. Sorry for the inconvenience.

June Meeting
I can host the meeting next Thursday, June 22. I will post directions and some more details later.
I believe we should select a style like Mark suggested. If I remember correctly, we are doing the wheat club competition in July so other than that, does anyone have a suggested style that fits the season? I am thinking of Belgian blondes, sours or farmhouse ales. We have had a pale competition already so I think that is out, maybe ambers or browns. What do people have a lot of in their homebrew stock they would like to bring? Of course, all beers are welcome. Reply back and I will try to come up with an appropriate style that seems preferred and include it with directions to my house.

It looks like the beer theme is going to lean towards Belgian something. How about if you have a Belgian, bring it. We can sort them into similar groups so we can have an effective tasting and comparison. Bring commercial examples if you like. As always, all beers are welcome, commercial or homebrew.
Also, the wheat beer club contest is in July, so keep that in mind.
Now, directions to my house. The address is 1102 30th Street Drive SE (it really is Street Drive), Cedar Rapids, IA, 52403. From the interstate, take the 29th St./32nd St. exit and head East on 29th Street towards 1st Ave. You will cross 1st Ave. and continue past a Walgreens. 29th Street curves sharply after crossing a creek and heads up a hill at which point it becomes 30th Street Drive. Continue on 30th Street Drive, my house is on the left/north side of the road.
You can also get there from East Post Road. You turn west at the 30th Street Drive/Lakeside road traffic light. My house will be on the right side of the road, just past Indian Hill Road.
I have a shared driveway with 1100 30th Street Drive. There is a large Greyhound type bus in my neighbor’s driveway. Enter here and continue past the bus to the second house which is mine. The driveway entrance from the main road is between our respective blue county house number signs and mailboxes. Proceed slowly as the bumpy gravel road goes down a hill and turns sharply to the left and then back to the right. The house is finished, but as you will see, the outside still looks like a construction site. You will also understand why I won’t be hosting any meetings during snow season.
See you Thursday night, June 22, at 7PM.

Thanks for hosting the meeting Matt
Great meeting last night. There were lots of great beers. Thanks Matt for hosting last night you have a beautiful home.
Also big thanks to Mark for creating the agenda and being a good secretary and taking notes. I think the next couple of meetings will be fun.
The club meeting info will be published in the Gazette on Aug 6...so that should help increase club membership.
