November 17th meeting - Longbranch

Post by Mr T »

Our next meeting will be held at the Longbranch. The regular meeting will begin at 7:00 as usual. Since we have some election stuff, we will be holding the elections earlier at 6:30, to allow some time for the proposed 2012 cabinet team to speak to the group. Voting members of the club, please show up then.

Please remember to bring $30 for your 2012 dues, checks can be made out to Cedar Rapids Beer Nuts. I also know were working on setting up Paypal those who wish to pay that route.

Also please bring $14 if you wish to renew or be a subscriber for BYO at a discount rate. Reminder we need at least 10 renewals/subscriptions to qualify our club for the discount.

Something for the agenda. Nick, an intern from Backpocket Brewing wants to talk to us about attending and helping with a Winter Beer fest the end of January in Coralville.

Nice, we don't have much for the winter time.

Well, I may have sorta already said that we would be able to get involved. Of course the final decision comes from the club, but given the absolute boredom of an Iowa winter, I figured at least a few of us would be able to represent.

Very much so.  I just noticed that the main website might be a little misleading.  The member's-only voting is taking place 1/2 hour before the meeting (at 6:30).

Just a reminder about tonight.. this is OPEN to EVERYONE, I apologize if there was any confusion. The voting portion.. which is essentially completed is closed only to members but since were not voting tonight this shouldn’t be a problem.

Everyone is invited and encouraged to show up by 6:30 at the long branch to hear from the proposed 2012 cabinet group and take some time to have them address any questions or suggestions. Our normal meeting portion (me talking) will start at 7:30 for those of you who can’t make it earlier.

Please remember to bring Dues, and BYO subscription payment to this meeting.

Remember we do not have a formal meeting for December.

See you all tonight.

I thought it was $14.50. It was the first year I was treasurer and had to cut a check for the total.

I attended the meeting as a guest and enjoyed meeting some of the members and drinking some good beers.

Thank you all for the warm welcome!
