tompb wrote:I finished up the grain order today. As a group we are buying 111 bags of grain. At 50# that comes to 5550#s of grain. Hopefully the weather holds out and we can get a good turnout for the pick-up. The other thing is this is going to cost over $2000. I'm thinking that I will have to ask for some money up front. If everyone could put $20 a bag down and make up the difference when the grain comes in it would be nice. We should have a meeting between now and when the order arrives, if you can prepay then I would appreciate it.
Tom, I'll be glad to prepay but I won't be able to attend the next meeting. I'm brewing today if you want to stop by and I can pay you, or we can do it some other time. Or, do you have a Pay-Pal account?

I would be fine paying everything upfront as well. Let me know.

I'll bring money to the next meeting unless you would like it sooner. Thanks again Tom for putting this together. If I was shelling out two grand for you guys my wife would be not pleased. I think it would be a good idea to make a per bag up front payment in advance going forward with the grain order getting so large.

Don't think I will make the next meeting, so if we could set something up Tom out side of the club to get payment to you that would work.

I have a full size truck and could help with the pickup if it happens after 5 on the weekdays or over the weekend. You drive to Millstream to pick it up right then where does it all get dropped off?

I won't know the exact prices until the order comes in. They have to figure in cost per bag and our share of shipping. As I've said it should be around $20/base malt $25/specialty. I'd like to get $20/bag up front and we'll settle the difference when it comes in.

Once the grain comes in we'll need groups of people to pick it up and distribute it. It will be on a Saturday. I don't have a way to haul it all or a place to store it, so the more the merrier. It'll be a project it sort and load 111 bags of grain.

That said think about teaming up with someone to do the pickup. You can put 6-10 bags in a car with a couple guys. We need to get it in one shot. Millstream likes 1 check and 1 loading day.

I'll try to collect as much of the money as I can at the next meeting. If you can't make it let me know and I'll try to work something out with you.

Just a reminder to bring the money to the meeting for the grain order. $20/bag and we'll even up when the order comes in. If you can't make the meeting pm me and we'll work something out. Thanks

Let me know where I can bring the cash. I work 2nd shift and I don't know most of you. I did paypal my dues couple months ago.... hope Jim checked me off. I have 4 bags and will front $100 straight out.

May also have a buddy that will lend a hand with a large truck. Just need to know when. I hope it is soon... I am out.
