I am looking a little at getting some brewing software, such as pro mash.
Before i do though i was wondering what software is out there?
What are some of the pros/cons of different software?
Is pro mash the only thing going or are there other brewing software packages out there?
Brewing Software whats out there ?

I use Beer Smith. Version 2 was released last summer and the developer, Brad Smith, continues to improve it. Last year BYO did a comparison and they didn't include ProMash, saying "ProMash is a perfectly functional application, it has not been updated in several years and future updates are uncertain." They had last reviewed it in 2002.
I am very happy with Beer Smith.

Beer Smith is very popular with Club members. I use it. However, I am not an expert at it by any means. And, as Jim noted, Brad is always updating it.

I have Promash because it was the most common available years ago. I would try the two mentioned above if I were starting from scratch today. I use Promash mainly to make or record recipes. I don't do much else with it.

Personally, I use BeerAlchemy,
BeerAlchemy is Mac based and has apps for IPad and IPhone, which are fully functional. While not a Mac user currently, I do have an iPhone and like to have my software mobile so that is why I use it. Great little beer program, does about everything that any of the above ones do.
