February Tech Meeting

Post by carrisr »

We're holding the next Tech meeting at Bricks in downtown CR on Wednesday February 8th at 8pm. We have beers from the last two club competitions (Smoked Beers and Oktoberfest) that desperately need to be judged. So we're going to make it a little less formal this time around and open the judging to the group. Any member is invited to come and try these beers and provide feedback. If you have a beer in the comp you may still come and observe and/or judge a beer from the other category.

This will be a good opportunity to hone your evaluation skills and learn about the beer styles. How we work it will depend on how many people we have. Please respond here if you intend to make it so I can plan the logistics. We need at least 4 people, but preferably 8 or more to make this work.

Work is very crazy right now but I'm hoping to come and help judge the Oktoberfest.

I would like to come but cannot. I am curious how many of the smoked beers are still smoked after this extended aging period.

I will be stopping by. I have 2 beer-curious friends who would like to have a look at the meetings as well if that's ok. Not sure if it is just a member thang or not.

You're welcome to stop by. I see no reason non-members can't observe. Just keep in mind that judging beers for a comp is not the most exciting thing to watch. Of course they'd be welcome to come to a regular meeting too. The next one is Feb 16th at 3BB.
