February Meeting Details

Post by carrisr »

CHANGE OF LOCATION!!!
Third Base had a conflict for the 16th, so we're moving the meeting over to Bricks. For those of you who weren't at last month's meeting there, the address is 320 2nd Ave SE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52401.

Note: this was purely an accidental double-booking. We still love Third Base Brewery!

We now resume with the original announcement:

The meeting starts at 7pm with a short business meeting at 7:30. I'm sure many of us will be there early to get some food and beer before the meeting. We'll most likely be in the back/side room.

A reminder about some new rules for meetings in public places:

1. You can, and are encouraged to, bring your home brewed beers. That is what the club is about after all. We ask that you do not bring commercial beers. You are encouraged to try the many delicious beers they serve at Third Base, including those brewed on site by the world renowned Travis Scheidecker (Lower Case T on these forums).

2. Be considerate and supportive of our host sites.

3. Pack in pack out. Please clean up after yourself, take home any bottles and trash that you bring.

4. No outside food. Third base has a food menu with lots of appetizers etc if you want snacks.

5. Have fun, relax, and have a home brew!

As now noted in the original post, we had to move this meeting to Bricks, due to an accidental double-booking at 3BB. We'll be sure to hit 3BB in the near future.

Benz tasting

Post by quinton »

Before the meeting on Thursday I am going to check out the Madhouse and Schlafly tasting at Benz starting at 5:30.

Edit: I screwed up on this... This tasting isn't until next week. My bad. If you do happen to show up tomorrow night, there is a blind wine tasting going on...so not a complete loss. I won't be there. Just at the meeting.

I've got a little Hopburst IPA sitting the refrigerator. Going to give it a try tonight!
