Corrected Holiday Party Poll
Corrected Holiday Party Poll
I couldn't figure out how to edit the poll question to correct the dates, so here is a corrected version. Sorry about all the confusion.

OK, you force me to up the ante!
John and I can't attend on the 6th, due to another commitment which can't be changed. So, to sway the votes toward the 13th, I am resorting to bribary.
We just returned from vacation, which afforded me the opportunity to load up the car on some excellent beers, which I had planned to share at the Christmas party. So, if we can't attend, neither will these beers! To wet your palates, here's a couple of teasers - Port Brewing Signature Ale (brewed in Belgium with De Proef brewery) and Brooklyn Brewery Local #1 (a 100% bottle fermented ale).
Or as Howie says "Beer or No Beer!"
Just like on November 4th, you get to vote for your choice!

Nice Beers. I had the Port Brewing Signature Ale at a release party at Belmont Station in Portland. They had the new one and the previous years. Interesting beer.

$300.00 per day for non-members if you were interested in doing something like that. We seriously would have no problem if you wanted to change it so more can attend - especially my wife

Based on the poll, it looks like the 6th is still the date because 5 people would not be able to attend on the 13th while only 2 can't make the 6th. Unfortunately, only 11 people resonded out of a total of 40 members, so who knows what the final turnout will be.
I would have no problem renting the IWL hall depending on the availability of a kitchen and if they provide tables. We probably would have to furnish everything else too (plates, glasses, utensils, napkins, etc.), and may be responisble for cleaning up before we leave. The cleaning up part may also pose a problem since people who leave early would have no responsibility for cleaning up while the few who stay also have to do all the cleanup. Just a thought. We have our Nov meeting next week, so maybe we can make a final decision then.
Greg, if you're having second thoughts about holding the party at your house please let us know soon. Hopefully you can make the meeting next week and we can figure it all out. I'll find out about the facilities at the IWL prior to the meeting.
