so i started a batch of cider and boiled in my adjunct sugars because i was paranoid about sanitation. i've got some pectic enzyme, but i didn't realize i needed to put it in before i pitched my yeast. will it still work? or am i stuck with a batch of cloudy (but still tasty) cider?
Pectin Haze, running through my brain. Lately, my cider just don't look the same!

about how long does it take? i added the label reccommended 1tsp/gal, and the top 1/4 or so of the carboy has cleared up nicely. it just seems like it's taking forever.....

Pectic enzyme typically works overnight for me. Have you tried gelatin? You could be seeing yeast haze.
seems like the longer i let it sit the more it clears from top to bottom. starting to look more like the other ciders i've made. i've tried shaking it a couple times - bad idea. the parts that have cleared look like they have a slight yeast haze that i'm used to seeing. the other parts have an opaque - dare i say milky - quality, but it's clearing slowly. i figure once that milkyness has cleared i'll add gelatin to clear the yeast.
