Randy, put me down for a keg of something... I'm brewing pretty much every weekend, so I'll have something to bring.

I'm going to attempt a Crack'd wheat clone
Bad people drink bad beer. You don't usually see an empty bottle of Rochefort tossed onto the side of the road

We will have a canopy, with our bar. We will also have a table to pour bottles from. As a rule, members who bring beer to pour, get in free. You get to pour, which is a great time, and drink. I highly recommend it. Especially for a new member. It's a great way to get involved in the fun side of beer nuts, as if my meetings were not fun enough.

Not sure what I will bring, but it will be good. Here are possibilities:

Hoppy IPA
Imperial Smoked Porter
Scotch Ale
Dubbel
Coffee Chocolate Oatmeal Stout

Just not sure yet. Will depend on what keg has some beer in it. Probably not the IPA.

Slappy Brewing North

On Tap:
American IPA
Strata Hazy IPA
Dr. Lee Orval
American Strong Ale
Friend of the Devil Belgian Golden Strong
Imperial Stout

Benz Beer Fest

Post by carrisr »

You can bring any amount you like for this event. Typically people bring 4-5 bombers or equivalent 12 0z, or if kegs usually 2.5 to 5 gallons. We may not go through an entire keg of each beer unless it's very popular. We tend to rotate through taps to get as much variety as possible. Last year we had way more beer than we could serve, but the weater was pretty crappy.

Each event is different though so we'll try to post more details. The Benz Fest is more open and relaxed than some that we do.
