Wow, 5 days and every site is full??!!!!!! That has got to be a record. I will be at the meeting on the 15th if anyone has their entries ready then. Otherwise if you want to wait until the last minute before bottling then get them to me before March 23 and I'll take them up to NB.

NHC score sheets

Post by carrisr »

I got my score sheets back today (Minneapolis region). I got 2nd place on my Export Stout, with a score of 38. Not sure if that means it goes to the final round or not. Interestingly, I got a 34 from one judge and a 36 from the other, but the final score was adjusted up to a 38. Never seen that happen before. The sheet says that it was advanced to a mini-BOS round, so maybe they thought better of it in that round? The bump up puts into the gold medal certificate. Whoo Hoo!

That's awesome. I believe if you place in the top three for your region you go to the final. Nice work!

Got a 30 on my Irish Red. They docked me hard for using American hops.

Nice job, Randy! I got mine as well. Got second in Cat 21 for double chocolate hazelnut porter and second in Cat 23 for my dry hopped imperial vienna lager. Top three from each category send 3 beers on to finals. You will get a packet from AHA in May with your ribbon and certificates and the labels for your bottles. Beer Nuts representing!!

Wow, way to go John! Two of your beers going to finals. Especially getting one in Cat 23, which is a really difficult category. You, sir, are a credit to the club!

Has anyone else gotten the instructions for mailing entries for the final round yet? I haven't seen anything.
