Equipment for sale

Post by JimF »

I'm upgrading my system and have some stuff I'm looking to sell.

1. Hurricane 10" propane burner. 60,000 btu low pressure burner. Quiet and efficient. Same as this one, http://www.midwestsupplies.com/hurricane-burner.html See the picture...

2. 10 gallon Igloo cooler mash tun with ss false bottom, ss ball valve and ss 1/2 hose barb. You can see it in the picture...

3. 40 quart ss kettle with lid. nickel plated brass ball valve and brass 1/2 hose barb. I have a ss bazooka style filter that I can throw in with it. I used it once as a mash tun. (Not the kettle in the picture!) http://www.williamsbrewing.com/BREWERS- ... 66C50.aspx Mine is the scratch and dent version of this pot, but mine arrived in good shape.

4. Portable scaffolding that I've use for me brew stand. Takes down quickly for easy storage. See the picture...

5. Corona style grain mill - FREE!

Shoot me an offer if you are interested. Otherwise I'll probably put it up on Craig's List.

No, I will still brew in my garage using gas but I'm planning to convert from propane to natural gas so I need new burners. It will be a slow conversion but I've got to start somewhere...

You don't need a new burner. I have been using a Hurricane burner in my basement for years. You just need a natural gas adapater. They are $7.90 from Williams Brewing.

I would be interested in the 40qt (10 gal) kettle. Have you used it as a boil kettle before? Any problems?

I only used it one time as a mash tun.  I've thought about using as a boil kettle but I already had a Blichmann kettle.

I would be interested in the burner and stand if you don't want to convert it.

How much you want for the cooler? I'm interested. Missed the burner, which I was very interested in.

I'm asking $80 which is about 1/2 of what I paid for it.

If you are building your own stand, you can get just the Hurricane burner for about $40. Then you add the natural gas valve for $8 or a LP regulator and hose for $20. Cheap burner, efficient, very quiet, I have really enjoyed mine and it is my third burner. No plans for a different one.
