I watched the Google+ Hangout last night with Stone, Victory and Dogfish Head hosted by Bill Wheaton. I had a bottle of the Stone version to sample during the hangout. It was interesting to hear them discuss the differences between their versions. Three brewmasters brewing the same recipe together at their respective breweries and they turned out significantly different. Makes me wonder how we can ever hope to get our clones to match commercial brews... Also gives me some admiration for what bud and coors can do, brewing all over the country and turning out identical beers, tasteless, but identical.
Learned a couple of tricks, like herbs should be added at the very end of the boil (flame out) to sterilize but maintain the maximum aroma.
They announced that they will be posting their recipe for Saison du Buff. It has previously been published in a book from Stone, but not posted for free. I'm looking for it and will post it here if anyone is interested.
