Son 'O' Soda Pop
Son 'O' Soda Pop
I think I recall reading about this somewhere. "Don't keg your beer in the same keg that you have kegged a soda pop" The taste of the pop lingers even after numerous washings and sanitizing of the lines and kegs. I've got a moderately hoppy Belgian Pale Ale with a faint root beer complexity. I washed the keg with 180 water and PBW and then sanitized with Star San twice. I washed beer lines with BLC and rinsed thoroughly. That faint taste is still there. Suggestions?

Build a keg washer. Worked wonders on mine.
I had the same thing happen with a keg of cider. Added wintergreen and licorice.

The line will definitely hold the flavor. I didin't know you were using pop line.

Jesus must have been a yeast. Who else could turn water into wine?
