Brewing on Thursday (9-August)

Post by DrPaulsen »

I'll be brewing on this coming Thursday afternoon (9-Aug). I'm planning to make 10 gal of a Consecration Clone, with 5 gallons getting abbey ale yeast, oak, currants, and bugs, while the other 5 will get a saison yeast and blackberries.

I plan to dough in around 2:00 and will probably be going until 8:00.

There's nothing particularly unique about the recipe, but if you're interested in all grain brewing, brewing with electricity, HERMS systems, and/or drinking some of my beer, feel free to stop by.

And if you're not interested in drinking his beer, there's something very wrong with you
Bad people drink bad beer. You don't usually see an empty bottle of Rochefort tossed onto the side of the road

only one problem with electric brewing, when your trying to brew on a saturday and you loose power for 6 hours it really slows down your boil

I'm running a little ahead of schedule and am doughing-in now. I'll probably finish up around 7:30 pm. Since the wife and kids are out of town, though, feel free to stop by whenever. I don't drink while brewing, so there will be plenty of beer left.
