Do we have a sign up list to commit what beers we are bringing yet? Are we doing a flyer with beers listed in it? I know I plan to bring a keg of my barrel aged Up In Smoke Porter. I plan something else too but not sure yet. Want to see what others plan to bring too. I was considering an IPA unless we have too many. Thinking about a steam beer too.

Yes, I posted the directions on the forum. All of the styles that were listed on the forum were included the list. You have access to change or specify beers. On Aug 10, 2012 8:45 AM, "Matt F" <brew-members@crbeernuts.org (brew-members@crbeernuts.org)> wrote:

Cool, can you add a link here or tell me where it is at. Can't find the directions you speak of.

I was able to login and add 5 gallons to the Smoked Beer catagory but now it looks like I am on the RSVP list twice and I could not figure out how to change the amount listed for me under unspecified. It added me as another user when I submitted the RSVP. Under the login I used I added the smoked beer. The other could be deleted and I could add the 5 galons of unspecified back in.

Basically, I have 5 gallons of Smoked Beer and 5 gallons of Unspecified I plan to bring, but could not change the unspecified on the sign up.

I haven't tried to add mine yet, but I'm bringing a Smoked, Barrel Aged, Wiezenbock. I'll have to see what else I have when we get closer.

Cedar Rapids Beer Nuts Home Brew Festival

The planning committee for the festival is going to meet Tuesday (tomorrow), 8pm @ Third Base. Anyone who would like to help work on the event is invited to attend. Even if you don't have huge amounts of time available we could still use volunteers. There's lots of things to do and many of them do not require a large commitment. The plan is to meet every other week so we can keep things rolling.

I'll try to make it tomorrow. I plan on doing setup and teardown, I normally do that at Benz anyway.

Festival Web App

Post by daveR »

Hi guys, I've been working on a website where we can enter the beers we plan on bringing to the festival. The majority of the site is done, I just need to make some tweaks here and there, but people should be able to start entering their beers.

http://crbeernuts.herokuapp.com/

Go there and register. You should get an email thanking you and saying you'll need approval to enter beers. The admins will also get an email notifying them of a new registration. One of the admins will then go in and approve you, it won't email you about the approval yet, but I will be adding that soon. I'll have manually send the emails for now. Once you're approved you can log in and click "Manage My Beers" and then click "New Beer" to enter your beer.

Also, try to fill out as much information about your beers as you can, I'd like to add sorting by all of the fields on the form. I'll be adding a description field tonight, you can always come back and edit your beers and add the description later.

Any feedback would be great.

Thanks!

Added a description field, if you want you can edit your already entered beers to add a description. I also removed the details of a beer and moved them into a popover that appears when you click the details link.

Can we add the other 4 clubs to this, and allow them to enter their beers as well?
