First DVD

Post by Matt F »

Hanging out tonight with my lady and felt like watching a movie. It is Friday so I put in "Friday." While watching it I realized it was the first DVD I ever bought. Do you remember your first DVD you purchased and what was it?

Yes, I started the day at Third Base around 1:45 pm today.

I'm not sure. DVD's started about the same time as the internet online sales boom. I got most of them for free with codes from DVDtalk.com. Most of the sites are gone. Buy.com and Amazon are probably the only ones left. With a good coupon back then I could get 7-10 DVD's for under $10.

Red Dawn, Platoon, Space Balls, and I think Die Hard were the first ones I bought when I got my first DVD player. Roughly 1000 more followed.....
