November meeting @ Longbranch

Post by carrisr »

Our November 2012 club meeting will be held at the Longbranch at 7pm. We're meeting in the usual room in the basement of the convention center portion of the facility, which is behind the restaurant but connected.

It's been a while since we've been there so I'll point out a few "features" for those who are newer to the group. First, we're allowed to bring commercial beers to this venue. Second, the bar area offers a $3 Wing Bar on Thursday nights. There's usually several of us there before the meeting partaking.

Please be respectful of the staff and clean up your bottles etc after the meeting. They give us a good rate on the room and we don't want to wear out our welcome.

This is an important meeting to attend, as we'll be doing officer elections. I'll let Tim provide more details on that. Also, we need to start collecting 2013 dues. Jim Potts can chime in on that.

I'll post the agenda when I get back into town. There are two important things I want to reiterate. First, the meeting is at the Longbranch. Second, we will be doing officer elections. We will be starting stump speaches at 7:00, followed by elections at 7:30. then the rest of the meeting.

Just a couple of reminders:

Please remember to bring Dues ($30), and BYO subscription payment ($14 for 1 year) to this meeting. Remember we do not have a formal meeting in December (Christmas Party!!).

If we have to delay the BYO collection until January's meeting, it challenges us to ensure no one's subscription lapses and you miss an edition. Plus, we have to get at least 10 renewals/new subscriptions to qualify for the Club Discount. It's a great deal, so don't miss out!!

Is it too late to get in on the BYO discount for subscription renewal? I couldn't get to the last meeting.

You're fine.  Just get me your mailing info (and the money, of course).
