Outlook Problem with embedded hyperlinks

Several of us were talking before the last meeting about having problems with Outlook not launching hyperlinks and giving error messages about access authorization issues. After several hours of searching on the internet (this is a well known problem, with lots of suggested "fixes," most of which DON'T work or involve serious workarounds like installing Foxfire and then re-enabling IE 8 as the default browser and uninstalling Foxfire!), I found a fix that did work. It's a Microsoft Fix It:
