cheap andeasy wort aeration?

Post by Bear »

so this is a little beyond my level of physics, but everything seems kosher. so just a length of siphon tubing, a couple hose clamps, and a small hole drilled and I can aerate better than shaking?

Kai Troester an an experiment n one of these Venturi tube aerators.  He measured around 3.5 ppm DO.  This is similar to the levels I measured when aerating with a mix-stir.  An aquarium pump will get you to 7.5 ppm in about 15 mins for around $20 worth of pump, tubing, and disposable aeration stone.

I saw this on HBT. I understand the principle but it seems like there are better options.
