Immersion Chiller

Post by tompb »

Well after a few setbacks I finished the chiller I started at the Big Brew. I found that 3/8 fittings work on the 1/2 refridgeration tubing. It was a learning experience. I think it would go much better the next time I do one. I may bring the end result to the next meeting.

Yeah, I was surprised to find 1/2" fittings do not match 1/2" fridge copper. I just used hose clamps to attach my fittings.

I used me new one with the whirlpool return for the first time yesterday in the basement. Basically, it was pretty awesome.

Can you post a link to one of these? I'm not familiar with them.

I used mine last weekend. Cooled 10 gallons to 65 in about 10 minutes. I think the cfc will move to the back burner for a while.
