Beer Faucet

Post by CMLarrison »

So, I just finished building my raised collar for my keezer to accept 5 taps. Does anyone have any input on traditional faucets versus perlick faucets? The perlick's seem nice but they are also double the price too.

Spend the money!  You won't regret it.  Perlick don't get gummed up like regular taps... On Aug 9, 2013 11:42 AM, "CMLarrison" <brew-equipment@crbeernuts.org (brew-equipment@crbeernuts.org)> wrote:

option one - buy the cheap faucets, regret it then replace with perlicks.
option 2, save yourself the money and buy perlicks.
I have had both, I wish I had not wasted my time and money with the other style first and just bought the perlicks to begin with, they don't stick and are just overall nice product.

Anyone had bad luck with the chrome plated Perlicks vs. the Stainless? I know plating can where off over time but has anyone used a faucet enough to have this happen?

Just my 2 cents. Stainless Perlicks are a one time purchase. Parts are readily avaliable and the housing won't ever wear out.

Not sure what they run today but shop around and find a deal. You won't regret buying stainless Perlicks. When I got them they were a new thing and only ran about $28 a piece. That was a long time ago.
