Name that Beer!

Post by Lower Case T »

Hey all,

I would like to ask for any ideas for the name of the Saison we brewed on Saturday.

Just remember (TONY) that I have to be able to write the name of the beer on the board up front (where children wonder by) and guys/gals have to be able to ask the waitress for one while sitting next to said children (TONY). So, Tony, do you have any suggestions? :)

I know the recipe was dedicated to a gentleman who passed recently. Maybe that would help. Just a thought. But then I have to try to explain to people who he was, and that I really have know idea who he was......

OK, never mind on that front.

Thanks for the help.

Cheers!

Yeah, I was never that thrilled with Tony's name for the beer.

I got a couple ideas though...
Spring Fling Saison
or go a bit more pretentious with
Saison De Printemps
or
Too Many Cooks Saison

Crap! Change of Plan

OK. I just got word from Joe. He does our web site for us. He had the idea of a web site exclusive naming contest. He thought it would be a great way to drive traffic to the site, and I agreed. So save those good names. (I like that too many cooks one btw) And there will soon be a way to register them online. And some prize involved. Maybe a growler or two, or something. I will post something here when its ready.

Thanks!

Just call it “El Season Saison, Eh”

This will give a prop to our south and northern border friends, as well as see how versed our drinkers are by calling it “Season Season” which is a kick to our roots.

Looks good. I haven’t entered a name yet because I haven’t thought of a good one yet, but I’ll let you know how it works when I do.

As an homage to the real name, we can just call it

Saison du LIPTON

'cause it was Brisk, ya'll.

BTW - What's "Hume"? The 3rd Base web pages refers to us as "our local Hume Brew Club." Nice web page otherwise!
