2013 Homebrew Festival

Post by carrisr »

I'm posting some important notes here in case everyone is not subscribed to the Feestival Planning forum.

First off, we once again have the cool web app provided by Dave Rhinehart for entering beers for the competition. Please go to http://crbeernuts.herokuapp.com and add your beers. The fest date is rapidly approaching.

Yes it is.
I noticed there is nothing on the Benz site and when I called them about it, they said no one has given them any info yet to post. They said they would be happy to post Festival info when they get it. You think someone could get them some info? I am not sure what the exact times etc are for the event.
Also I didn't see anything on the Beernuts home page.

I'm not sure what info Benz doesn't have. I will call them. Our site does need to be updated.

Kyle,
Are you volunteering to help? We need people to step up, not sit back and complain. It takes a lot of hard work from many people to make a festival happen. Right now that work is all being done by a small group of hard working people.

Randy,
I was not complaining I was inquiring. Also I did do something about it, I called Benz to see they would post info if we gave it to them. As I said in my previous post, I was not sure of the exact time otherwise I would have given them the info.
Also I did volunteer to help but right after I did I had some important personal matters come up that have taken much of my free time.
I am still willing to help out as my schedule allow.

Post by arnold931 »

There was talk at last night's meeting about a sign up sheet for different shifts. Where is it?

Look under the Festival Planning forum for the Task Signup folder. The link is in there.

Working the Festival

Post by carrisr »

A note about working the festival:
This is our event and we need everyone to pitch in and help make it a success. It should go without saying, but we need everyone working this event (including pouring) to stay reasonably sober.

After everything is torn down and we're done with cleanup at Benz, we're holding an after party for those who helped out. This will be on the upper floor of Brick's. The club has budgeted some funds to run a limited tab for volunteers. We can't afford to pay for drinks all night, but we want to make sure everyone gets to celebrate and relax a little after the event as a reward for hard work. So please keep this in mind and limit your drinking during the festival please.

Setup for the Festival will start at 11 am. Please show up on time if you've volunteered to help. If you've signed up to man various stations during the event, make sure you keep track of the time and be were you need to be during your shifts. Don't make us hunt you down like rabid dogs! :D

I'm planning to show up early tomorrow to drop off my beer and help set up but I can't stay. Can someone volunteer to keep track of my 2 kegs until I get back in town on Monday?
