2013 Cider Pressing

Post by carrisr »

I've had something come up and I won't be able to make it today after all. Have fun though!

Thanks to everyone that came out yesterday and picked apples. You guys did a remarkable job cleaning off the trees. Hopefully next year's crop is better and we don't have to work quite so hard for every last apple.

We're going to be crushing and pressing this Thursday evening. Rick's crusher and my press will be available for anyone that wants to make cider. I'll also have a grill and paper utensils available if anyone wants to bring something to eat. Feel free to bring beer or cider. I'll have a 4 or 5 things on tap. Also, dress warm as it looks like it could get near freezing while we're out there.

Time - 5:00 until we're done
Date - Thursday, 24-Oct
Where - Same as before

Thanks to everyone that came out last night to press cider. We pressed around 150 gallons in 5 hours, despite how cold it was. It's nice to see all these apples put to a good use and everyone have a good time doing it.
