Big Brew Day
A reminder that this is May 3rd. It is also (most likely) GTOM ticket day.

And a slight correction: it's (most likely) the day _before_ GTOM ticket day.

Re: Big Brew Day
According to the AHA website, this year's Big Brew Day is scheduled for Saturday, May 2.
Are we participating as a club?
From https://www.homebrewersassociation.org/ ... brew-2015/, the overall recipe/themes are:
"2015 Official Big Brew Recipes
Each year, we select recipes that AHA Big Brew attendees all brew in solidarity for National Homebrew Day.
The 2015 AHA Big Brew recipes come from three-time AHA Ninkasi Award winner and current BJCP President, Gordon Strong! This year’s beers are all medal-winning recipes from Gordon’s upcoming book, Modern Homebrew Recipes, to be released in May 2015, which include Columbus Pale Ale, Old School Barleywine and Killer Kolsch.
Access the extract and all-grain versions of these recipes on the AHA Big Brew webpage."

Re: Big Brew Day
Yes, Sunday May 3rd is GTOM ticket day. I cannot go up Saturday night for tickets but would be willing to ride or drive with someone leaving early in the morning. I have been to Great Taste but never went to get tickets. How early do you need to be in line these days?brownbeard wrote:A reminder that this is May 3rd. It is also (most likely) GTOM ticket day.

Re: Big Brew Day
I don't have anything on my calendar for BBD or GTOM. I would be willing to do the ticket run in the hippy wagon Sunday morning, or i may be convinced to skip BBD and go for a bike trip into WI and end up in Madison

Re: Big Brew Day
You need to be in the ticket line before 5 am. In my opinion.

I may not be able to go up for tickets. If someone has capacity and can get me one let me know.

Re: Big Brew Day
Im going to get my ticket that weekend. If you need me to pick one up for you Matt, I'd be glad to pick yours up.
Re: Big Brew Day
That would be quite awesome. I can get you some cash at the next meeting in April if that works for you.
