Happy Sunday to everyone!

I am trying to get this keezer build going asap! I am going to be buying most of my equipment probably thru Joe. But if anyone has anything they are not using and would like to sell it. I am in the market with cash in hand I am starting from scratch as I have been bottling my brews since i started. Any advice or offers are greatly appreciated Thanks!

You can carb with Higher volumes of CO2 with 3/16" shanks as opposed to the 1/4" shanks. Roudy Yates posted a nice excel spreadsheet on this with lengths of hose etc., etc.

I'm in the process of changing over the beer lines to Accuflex Bev-Seal tube. Its the glass lined polyethylene tube. There are a number of us in the club that have started to make the transition. Drawback is that you need longer runs of line [~15 foot], but there is just a coil sitting on top of the keg. There are a couple posts on here as well as HBT.

Largest advantage is that the can actually be cleaned well. Going from an IPA or sour to a bitters can be done with no residual flavor in the line.

That sounds fancy and expensive! But probably a good idea! Now if I can find some inexpensive kegs!

Not that bad considering my lines were nasty after 3years. Think it was ~$20 for a 50 foot roll. Plus fittings. Some say with a heat gun a nipple will seal. Or you can go with the compression type fitting.. There is a thread here on that.

Go with the glass lined tubing. it is awesome an not that expensive. I liked the compression fittings. Downside is the tubing is not very flexible.

Ok, I have come to the realization that I have no idea what this table means as far as what i need to dial my C02 gauge into. If someone could clarify what the headings of the columns stand for, I would be eternally grateful!

Set your regulator at like 10 or 12 psi to force carb your beer (takes a week or two). Once it is carbed you can turn it down so that it only needs enough pressure to push it through the lines (5psi or so). As for the spreadsheet you can select what style of beer you want at what temp you want, and it will give you the lengths of liquid line that you need to achieve your desired volumes of CO2, including what size of taps, shanks, cobra taps (picnic tap), etc., etc..

The volumes recommendations in Beersmith are a good start. For most beers you want between 2.2 and 2.7 vol.
