Confluence/Big Grove Black IPA launch

Post by kjball »

Bad people drink bad beer. You don't usually see an empty bottle of Rochefort tossed onto the side of the road

I'm heading down to be there as soon after 3 as I can. Anyone else beside Kent and I?

Maybe. I'll have to see how the day goes.

Before last night, I had not been to Big Grove and knew little about them.

My wife and I went down after dinner to check it out. We had a few really nice beers, including the Confluence Double Black, I particularly enjoyed the Short's Stout.

It is a really nice venue and I learned that they are affiliated with Red's Ale House (in North Liberty). It will definitely be on our radar when we are looking for places to go to for dinner.

Thanks for the posts and bringing it to our attention.

In the keg: Wheat Beer, Russian Imperial Stout
