2014 Grain Buy - Edited
2014 Grain Buy - Edited
Hello Beer Nuts!
I received the attached pricing list from Joe at BIY today so we can officially start the grain orders for 2014. Here are the details.
The attachment has pricing for the entire catalog of malts provided to us under Country Malt Group's homebrew club buying program. Thanks go out to THIRSTY for maintaining this relationship and passing along the ability for us to do this through BIY.
As we did last year this order will be limited to base malts only. Please continue to purchase specialty grains through BIY. The club will foot the bill initially for the order and then make arrangements to recoup payment from the members placing orders. Please be prepared to make timely payment via check, cash or Dwolla once the order arrives.
Please note that all prices are subject to change from Country Malt Group / Brewcraft (Joe's supplier) at any time, so in the event the prices change between now and the actual order payment, the club will cover the difference and we'll figure out the rest at payment time.
After BIY places the order with CMG/Brewcraft, they will invoice BIY for the total amount due including freight. After BIY receives payment and checks are cashed, BIY will indicate payment has cleared with CMG/Brewcraft and they will then ship to the store. BIY will perform an inventory check, and then contact the clubs to let us know it is here and ready to be picked up.
BIY does ask that the grain be picked up on the same day it is received at the store if possible. They are undecided as to if the pickup will be in CR or the new store in North Liberty. Cutoff for the order will be 3-20-14, that gives you a little over 2 weeks to decide. I have been advised by THIRSTY they will be placing the order on 3-21 for shipment the week of 3-24.
Note that now that we are setup for ordering in this manner we could do possibly 2 orders per year. There's no need to hoard like I know a lot of us (including me) did.
All that said, please place your order via reply to this post. Please include your contact phone # in the order so we can nag you for payment later on if we need to.
Questions may be directed to me via PM, please don't clog the thread with questions.
Thank you!
