March Minutes

Meeting held at Lion Bridge Brewery- 32 in attendance

Old Business-

• Club competitions

o April is the turn in for Dark American Lager 4A
o Dan White is the winner of the Jan 2014 Wit comp


• Grain Order

o Order is due by 10AM Friday 3-21
o Order should be placed by Monday 3-24
o Pick up will be announced via the forum post
o Final cost should be set next week
o Payment to the club will be due at pickup or via Dwolla

• Tech meeting 3-13-14

o @10 in attendance. Thanks to Clint Larrison for hosting



New Business-

• Welcome to any new attendees

• Greeter Position

o Forum post for volunteers will be created
o Position is open per meeting and we can all share the role as needed

• Upcoming Events

• NHC 6-12 to 6-14 – Mashing in Michigan

• Big Brew Day-

o Set for Benz on 5-3-14 in the parking lot.
o Think about if you are going to attend or demonstrate
o Commercial Beers are allowed
o Grill out is expected

• Benz Fest

o As last year. 5-10-14
o Website application to be coordinated for a better tap presentation and diverse offerings

• Between the Bluffs Beer Wine & Cheese Festival

o April 26th. David Werner has offered to take up entries to LaCrosse, WI
o April 11th is the entry deadline
o Application for entry is attached to this post.

• St. Ludmila’s Kolache Festival

o June 13th from 7 -9 PM.
o For those not going to NHC this is a good event to look at pouring at

• NewBo Beer and BBQ

o 7-19-14 at 10 AM at NewBo
o There are more event slots for home-brewers available to enter
o Prizes will be offered by the host for winners
