Made a trip to the Kalona Brewery last night and sampled some brews.
Their beer menu pretty much covers the bases with regard to beer styles; the most impressive part is that they brew all of it in Kalona. I had the Double Whammy (Imperial Stout), Dupple Night Vision, and Vienna Symphony (Amber Lager); the special of the evening was Fish and Chips. The beer batter was made with one of their brews.
The beer and food was really good and the service was great.
I'll definitely go back.
It is a bit of a trek, but would there be any interest in holding one of our meetings there during the late Spring or Summer months? If so, I can ask to see if they would be willing.
Cheers!

Re: Kalona Brewery
I need to make a trip there someday. I just saw the other day that Marion hyvee has 32oz growlers of their beer. I picked up sucha much their IPA. I'll pick up another one the next time I'm there.

Re: Kalona Brewery
You'll never get the club to go all the way there for a meeting. A weekend road trip isn't out of the realm and anyone can organize it. You'd get more participation though if there were other stops involved.
