Chest freezer relay ?'s

Post by czubak »

Got an older chest freezer for free with a bad relay and am searching for a replacement so I get an idea on what these cost. Or is there a more common/newer alternative.

Home Depot and my local Ace hardware looked at me like I was from another planet. "Just buy a new freezer" to "never saw one of those before"

I'll try an appliance store tomorrow in the Coralville area if anyone knows of a place to hit up I'd appreciate any leads.

I replaced the controller relay on mine last year. It really helps to locate the owner manual and find a parts breakdown. I ordered from Sears Parts Direct.

It's a JC Penny model(ollld) hence the reason not to spend much trying to get it working

Found that page Jim, never could get a return call on prices. Ended up just buying a new freezer that was a bit larger and there is 10 gallons of blonde in there now fermenting away :)
