I bought a new bench bottle capper last week. Seems that every time I go to cap a bottle, it doesn't crimp until I go the remain 'spring over.' Then the bottle is stuck on the crimper when it's raised and I have to carefully yank it down. I have it set about 1/2 inch above the bottle top before I start the lever motion. Using standard bottles and caps.
Any tips on what I need to do differently?
