To determine the version of controller you have, open the controller as shown in the video above at about 2:47. Once you have the board visible, look at the location highlighted below; if the board says A400_P, Version: 1.0 you have the correct board and can flash. If it says something else (the most common "bad" board says S1000-Power_V1.1), there is not currently a way to flash it.
I will try to remember to dig into it tonight. I need to check this board while I am at home rather than in the morning when I get to work

Well I missed the pre-order email yet again, which filled up in like an hour. They claim they will have a few hundred non-pre-ordered units available mid-october, but who knows.
I need to set up a time to drop by your place and pick that up, or meet up at the brewfest if the baby hasn't come yet.
