CO2 regulator - questions and picture

I have a extra partially broken dual output regulator, because taprite sent me a replacement and didn't want the old one back.

One of the two output assemblies doesn't work:
--even when fully disassembled, the needle from low-pressure guage (B) is at the incorrect position (position shown in light blue)
--when any pressure is applied to it, the safety vent in the back of the regulator body (C) vents immediately.

I am certain that A, D, and the unmarked portions of the picture are fully functional. I'm not one to F-around with something that I don't fully understand and could cause a potentially very dangerous situation, so I see my options as
-Sell as-is to someone that knows what is going on and can fix it
-discard the broken section (B C) and sell as a used 1-output regulator
-fix it, if it's safe?
-Use the good pieces and make a 3-output regulator out of my new 2-output one?
-trade/give away various pieces or whatever
-? suggestions

No, I disassembled the gauge last night to see how they work. Everything seemed proper in the gauge, except for the fact that it was showing ~15PSI instead of zero when there was no pressure.
my best ignorant guess is that something in the regulator broke and let too much pressure through, which buried the needle and resulted in either (a) the needle slipping, or (b) bending the pressure element that moves the needle based on the internal pressure.

Try adjusting back to zero and try again. Not sure about the other issues though. I would keep it for parts if you end up with no other use. I have a few regulators in the brew room that are broken. I had plan to take them apart and see if I can come up with one good one. Have not got around to it yet though.

sounds like you need to replace the seat and a couple gauges.

I can do that. I reassembled and passed the working portion on to a friend that needed it for his setup.
Do you want to trade the remaining part for some brew? (B, C, D, and male npt - male npt connector)
