Hi all,
I just wanted to take a moment to introduce myself to all of you.
My name is Jeremy Orchuk, my family and I just relocated to the area.
We are from a small town on the coast of North Carolina called Newport.
We have been in the area just over two weeks and are finding all the folks here warm and friendly.
I was recruited as a software engineer for the SCA HF division of the Government side for Rockwell Collins.
I have been a homebrewer for just over a year now starting with extract brewing and now do mostly all grain stuff.
Most recently I crafted a brown ale I named "Brown Head Brown Ale" as well as an IPA "Stone Cold IPA".
My homebrewing club back in NC was an excellent source of both fun and information on the subject.
I am hoping to find the same source of knowledge and camaraderie in this club.
I look forward to meeting and getting to know all of you in person and picking up some new crafting skills as well.
Please feel free to PM me if you have any questions that I have not answered here or just to chat.
Looking forward to my first meeting with you all this Thurs and well see you all then.
PS: What should I bring to the meeting and how much?
Sincerely,
Jeremy Orchuk
Hi All!
Welcome!
I would say bring yourself and some beer. Now the some beer. We usually have a mix of homebrew and commercial examples so bring whatever you feel like sharing. Bring one to however many you feel like. You can take any leftovers home. We usually have about a dozen at the meetings so two 12 oz. bottles is usually good for everyone to get a taste.
Also, please do not hesitate to bring your homebrew since that is what it is all about. I think people are sometimes overally critical of their creations and fear feedback. We are a fun bunch and enjoy all kinds of beer. I look forward to meeting you Thursday. If you have trouble finding the place give me a call at 368-8079.

How bout this, I can guarantee the quantity, but not quality.
I will bring plenty and have been drinking my swill for a year now with very few side effects except for the following:
- Double vision.
- Laziness.
- Bleeding from eyes, ears, and several other orifices.
- Severe vomiting.
- Sweating profusely.
- Inability to stand erect or get other appendages erect.
- Hallucinations.
But other then these minor things, I have noticed no ill side affects. So enjoy the brew.
disclaimer: Beer not warrented by brewer, drink at your own risk!!!
Looking forward to Thursday,
Jeremy
