Finally pulled the trigger

Post by czubak »

Bought me a turn key e-BIAB system all tri clamp, should be here in a 4-6 weeks. I am super excited. I opted for the 20 gallon system. I may not get to brew on it right away. Life has thrown me some curve balls this year and I will be brewing in my apartment while I shop for a suitable large garage with a small house to sleep/brew in :D If anyone has any leads on such property in CR let me know. I have no desire to live outside the city.

I will keep y'all posted. I may grab a 3 way valve off the pump so there are zero hose changes from mash through chilling. Will look into all that once I have the system in my possession

I was just looking at this system - something online about unwrapping and building the system. Should work well. It looks solid as a tank.

It's gonna take a lot of RO water to feed this beast.
In the Fridge/On Tap: English Bitter, Schwarzbier, Cream Ale
In the keg: Wheat Beer, Russian Imperial Stout
In the bucket:
In the queue: Irish Red, American IPA

I will be only doing my typical 6-11 gallon batches on it. No more water than before.

Trust me I haven't brewed in a long time. I am ready to get back in the game. My inventory is about gone

I don't know what price range you're interested in, but near me there's 381 Memorial Drive SE and 630 30th Street SE.

Congrats on the new brewery.

I found it. Nice places and I love that side of town. Time will tell, I am in no rush, have dirt cheap rent and nothing to maintain

Not sure how close to Steven you want to live, but there are three houses under $100k with 3 stall or larger garages on or just off Mt. Vernon Rd.

Looked at a few and they were all dumps and the garages weren't anything close to secure or in good shape. I would like to live in Wellignton, but haven't seen anything worth a shit yet.

I plan to be within a mile or two of downtown if at all possible.

Cool. Just keep looking. Anything decent with a good garage seems to go fast.

I'm in no rush. I have a decent place and it's cheap. Stockpile cash and brew at anytime [emoji482]

You guys were making me have system envy with all the sweet upgrades lately so I finally pulled the trigger too. I ordered a new boil kettle from Stout and mashtun from Ss Brewing Technologies along with a bunch of smaller odds and ends from Brew Hardware. This should help me with my maxing out my keggle mashtun issue lately and I will no longer have to boil 13 gallons of wort in my 14 gallon kettle for 10 gallon batches. I spent more in one day on equipment than I have in my 14 years of brewing combined. Still cheaper than a sports car or something. I will post up a picture of the new setup once I take delivery and get it all set up.
