Grain Order Discussion

Post by carrisr »

I'm thinking about getting some Vienna malt and/or Munich but don't need 50#. Anyone interested in sharing a bag?

Anyone want to split a bag of Floor Malted Bohemian Pils? I really want to try it but can't justify storing a whole bag.

You guys are doing this already, but just a reminder that someone take the lead an any shared sacks and make sure one person orders. I will not be tracking shared items in the order spreadsheet.

Crisp's Glen Eagles Maris Otter

The * indicates Special Order.....does anyone know what that means (in terms of delivery, shipping, availability, etc.)?

Travis has not dealt with special order (*) items before. Go ahead and order the item and have a back up plan in case we have issues.

Hm, 50lb of PBW comes to $2.70 / lb.+SH , instead of the ~$7/lb that one pays for a 4Lb container
Anyone interested in that if I buy it?

(I'd just bring the bucket to a meeting and people can fill up)

I'll take 5 or 10 pounds (or anywhere inbetween). You buy it, split it and I'll pay you...will that work?

So I contacted the distributor about the special order *.

Those grains will be delivered from a different warehouse. So, I think that means the buyers of these grains will bear the brunt of the shipping costs. Not sure what that would be, but at 50 lbs...it could be expensive. I think I am going to go with the available Maris Otter.

Ya, I added a note above, I'll bring the big bucket to a meeting to fill up.
Leave 10lb for me, Daryl wants 10, 30 remaining.
