Grain Order Discussion
I'm thinking about getting some Vienna malt and/or Munich but don't need 50#. Anyone interested in sharing a bag?

Anyone want to split a bag of Floor Malted Bohemian Pils? I really want to try it but can't justify storing a whole bag.

Done deal. I'll put it on my order and follow up with you later on the details.
Re: Grain Order Discussion
You guys are doing this already, but just a reminder that someone take the lead an any shared sacks and make sure one person orders. I will not be tracking shared items in the order spreadsheet.

The * indicates Special Order.....does anyone know what that means (in terms of delivery, shipping, availability, etc.)?

Travis has not dealt with special order (*) items before. Go ahead and order the item and have a back up plan in case we have issues.

Re: Grain Order Discussion
Hm, 50lb of PBW comes to $2.70 / lb.+SH , instead of the ~$7/lb that one pays for a 4Lb container
Anyone interested in that if I buy it?
(I'd just bring the bucket to a meeting and people can fill up)

I'll take 5 or 10 pounds (or anywhere inbetween). You buy it, split it and I'll pay you...will that work?andrewmaixner wrote:Hm, 50lb of PBW comes to under $2.70 / lb. , instead of the ~$7/lb that one pays for a 4Lb container

Re: Grain Order Discussion
So I contacted the distributor about the special order *.
Those grains will be delivered from a different warehouse. So, I think that means the buyers of these grains will bear the brunt of the shipping costs. Not sure what that would be, but at 50 lbs...it could be expensive. I think I am going to go with the available Maris Otter.
