The barn party is coming up next month so it is time to organize to figure out who is all going, who is staying the night, if anyone is driving up and back the same day, are we going just to the barn party or stopping at some other breweries/pubs along the way. Are we renting vehicles, who is driving, etc. I will bring a sign-up sheet to brew clut this week to get an idea of what everyone wants to do.

Does anyone have a camper or RV in the club? The RV we took last year was a blast...unfortunately it has been sold and is no longer available.

Since I had so many responses to this before, NONE. I thought I would post it again. We need to coordinate who is going to the shittybarnparty.

The barn party is coming up in less then two weeks so it is time to organize to figure out who is going, who is staying the night, if anyone is driving up and back the same day, are we going just to the barn party or stopping at other breweries/pubs along the way. Are we renting vehicles, who is driving, etc. I will bring a sign-up sheet to brew club this week to get an idea of what everyone wants to do.

ANSWER ME NOW!!!!

I am planning on going.

Big T and his special lady friend are going, we are driving separate as we have to do some touristy SH*t after the SH*tty Barn party.

Were free for any stops that Saturday and plan to stay for the whole SH*tty experience.

$hitty Barn Party

Post by Schlenkerla »

Count me out, I'm gonna be going home on the weekends to see the wife and kid and burn through a very long "To Do" List.

Are you planning to serve $hitty Beer & food or is it the barn thats just $hitty?

I am out. You guys seem lost without me taking the reins. Lake Louie offers private tours on Saturday if you give them a heads up. It would not be out of the way much for you to hit it on the way to the barn party. I attached the flyer from the party for those of you that don’t know what it is. Basically, the SH**TY part is how drunk you get on great beer.

Ok, let's try that attachment again. Notice it does specifically say DON'T park in the neighbor's yard. Great job Beer Nuts. Lets try to be more sober when we get there this time, or at least just park where we are supposed to be.

Ok....

OK - Sounds like fun!

I was thinking $hitty beer mainly because the High Life Lounge has a $hitty beer night. I believe they sell old-fashion grandpa beers in cans. Never been there that night. For those of you who don't about this bar, its the bar attached to the Bait Shop in Des Moines. The bar decor is that of the 1970's. Imagine tons of plastic back-lit bar signs and wood paneling.

I don't think I have even had a beer there either. Don't think that I'm missing anything there...

Thats a good question.   I've always wondered  If God dropped acid, would he see people?

I'm still in. I plan on staying, I tend to drink a bit. I will also try to help clean up in the morning if I'm in any better shape than last year.

As far as I know I'm still in. Maybe we leave around 1PM, get to a BP around 3-3.5 PM, have a drink or three, then head to the party. It will take a little time to get our stuff set up and we want to be there early enough to get a good spot (while still staying off the neighbor's property). Looks like we would have six people driving up, including Dave.
