Adopted Bastard

Post by kjball »

For those I didn't get a chance to talk to tonight, I want to bring attention to an event we're (Big Grove) doing tomorrow in Solon.

We were selected to be a part of the "Bastard Hits the Road" program. We will be releasing our version of the Arrogant Bastard Ale tomorrow. I'll be around til about 6 if anyone wants to hang out. If you're not aware of this program, we were given the recipe and access to the secrets of this brew. As far as I know, we are the only brewery in Iowa to receive this honor. We have to sell all the beer in-house, and give proceeds to charity. We are donating our profits to the Adolescent and Young Adult Cancer Foundation at UIHC. Along with our Bastard, and their Bastard, we will have some cool Stone Beers on tap. Come down and drink for a good cause.

Here are some links for your reference.

Bad people drink bad beer. You don't usually see an empty bottle of Rochefort tossed onto the side of the road

I was pretty impressed when I saw that BG had been selected by Stone to participate. Pretty big honor, for sure. Hopefully there will be a great turnout, but hopefully there will be a bit left on Saturday, that's the earliest I can get down to BG!
