Corney Jackets

Post by Bear »

Hi guys! I know i haven't been around in a while, scheduling has been a pain. Just wanted to get some opinions on these keg jackets. Originally designed for 1/6 barrels, we're thinking about talking to the manufacturer and having them modified with additional openings for Corney keg posts. Would people be interested in this type of insulated jacket for their kegs? If so, what would you pay for it? we're tentatively looking at $39.99 each, or $29.99 each if you buy 6. Thoughts?

Honestly I don't see the point of keg jackets unless your going to pour out quickly as it won't keep a keg cool for more than an hour or 2.
I perfer to just put ice in a cooler with the keg..

To be honest, Bear, it's not something that I think that I would buy.

I've seen them in commercially available in Neoprene material, but although I initially thought I wanted to buy one, I've actually never taken a keg to a party in 2 years (aside from the beerfests, where we have jocky boxes and a fancy setup).
Now I just take a growler to two cause no one wants to drink 4 of the same beer in a row.
If I was 22 instead of 36, maybe... ;)

Thanks for the input guys! based off of your comments we probably won't take the time to have the manufacturer slot them for cornys, but i will probably still pitch it to the local breweries for sankey 1/6 bbl use.

Thanks for taking a second!
